How it works?
The aim of Train to Gain within the East Midlands is to work with employers to support the upskilling of their workforce. We can access Government funding to support the cost of training for eligible employees. We will conduct an organisation needs analysis and discuss training needs.

What can we offer?
National Vocational Qualifications or NVQs are designed to develop and assess competency in each industry sectors and are a great way for staff to get existing skills accredited whilst ensuring gaps in knowledge and skills are developed. An important principle of the programme is that the training is designed to meet the employer needs. Training will be delivered at a time and place to suit the employer and minimise disruption to the business.
Who is eligible to participate?
Organisations must have less than 5000 employees.
Employees must be given paid time off to train but wage compensation is available for employer who have less than 50 employees.
Employees must be over the age of 19 and hold a contract of employment at the start of training
Employees must not hold an existing full Level 2 qualification (5 A-C grades at GCSE or vocational equivalent)
Customer Service NVQ Level 2
This qualification is aimed at candidates who undertake a Customer Service role and recognises that employment in the customer service sector involves a diverse range of functions, tasks and activities that are constantly developing and changing.

Business & Administration NVQ Level 2
Employees will benefit from a clearer understanding of their responsibility within their organization. It will help develop new skills and the recognition of existing skills.
Team Leading NVQ Level 2
This Team Leading qualification concentrates on the development of consistent, competent performance in the workplace and is assessed by a variety of methods. It is designed for those who have responsibility for motivating their team members and agreeing the outputs to be achieved. It is suitable for team leaders in a wide variety of settings.
Skills for Life
Skills for Life programmes enable learners to improve their basic English, Maths and language skills (ESOL). Basic skills are fundamental to business success. A lack of basic skills can easily affect business performance and confidence of employees.
The programme will focus on improving English language and conversation skills if this is required. All programmes are geared to the individual learner's needs, interests and work tasks.
